Beards are in along with flannel shirts and lambs-wool double-breasted cardigans. Sounds like something Will Ferrell’s character Roger Clavin would wear. But recently I have seen some postings on beards and I can’t help but put in my two cents. I think they are distinguished and yes, even manly. They are much better than dealing with the day-old stubble that manages to pierce my face in every single way possible. And yes, I sometimes have relations with a man who rocks a beard.
With my love of loafers, tights and skirts expressed, I find it odd that I will scoff at highly priced clothes, being the “bargain shopper” that I am, but spare no expense for shoes. I think it must be the practicality of shoes that attract me. However, clothing is no less practical. What is it about shoes? Do you find yourself feeling the same way? Is Carrie Bradshaw right? Or is this just my problem?
I’m sure you can agree with me that an alarm buzzer is the worst noise in the world, especially after staying up all night watching Noah’s Ark, drinking wine, and eating stale Domino’s pizza with your friends (or by yourself). Every time my alarm goes off in the morning I wake up angry that this horrible alarm demon is waking me from my comfortable slumber.
So, I tried setting my alarm to music. I downloaded Ingrid Michaelson’s The Way I Am and set my phone alarm to that song. I don’t wake up any easier, but at least I wake up happy.
I saw this guide on mondemeladie and was surprised to see that the blogger uses a cold cream. My assumption is that she is neither old nor wrinkly, but further explanation told me she uses it as a preventative measure.
I am 23 and still fighting mild acne. It seems morbid to think about wrinkles already, but many young celebrities are already getting botox. I mean, who doesn’t want to maintain their taut, supple young skin? Using a little cold cream now, seems like a much better option than getting extensive procedures in the future.
I just found a new blog on cooking and the life of the cook, Nicole. It looks like a good read.
