So I dont want you to get the wrong idea from the title of this post. I am not hinting that I have recently broken up with my boyfriend or that I have comitted myself to a liftetime of solitude. I have, however, tried cooking meals for myself using recipes that are for servings of six and have felt the frustration of a ton of leftover food and, worst of all, food being thrown away. I enjoy good food, and do not want to resort to a microwavable meal or ramen noodles everytime I am cooking for myself. The nice thing about The Pleasure of Cooking for One, by editor for Julia Childs, Judith Jones, is that it has good meals with the right proportions or ideas how the leftovers can be used.
