Wearing white: Colorblocking

Normally when I wear white my outfits tend to lean towards the more nautical and preppy to stop myself from looking too Miami Vice. However, this time I embraced a bright 80s color combo. White is a neutral that will still stand out when paired with colorblocking. I wore this outfit to work and it reminded me of a don’t that Michael Kors once said in a magazine. Don’t to wear more than one bright color to work. Clearly he has never met Don Johnson…or me. For the rest of the week I will be wearing my summer whites to properly salute to a beatiful summer. Send me pics of yours at cosmocleve@gmail.com and I will post them!

Risky Business

The wayfarers and collar shirt make me think of Tom Cruise in Risky Business minus the whole dancing in my underwear part. For me, it’s more like blogging in my underwear in between drying my hair, getting dressed, and running out the door in the morning. Yeah—that’s really not cool. Even though I may not have the coolness factor of Tom Cruise in an 80s movie, I sure feel cool in this summery red and blue combo. The nude heels and brown belt add to the warmth of the outfit. Lastly, I couldn’t allow this preppy outfit to be too perfect, so I added some vintage bracelets. Risky…right?
