H&M Dress (Similar Dress) / Madewell Harper Mules / Old Navy Jacket / J.Crew Factory Necklace (Similar Necklace)
Hello! How is your week going? We’ve busy with wedding planning. We’re at the phase where we’re searching for a venue, which is fun but also stressful. There are so many little details to consider about each place and each one is different. And to make matters worse, our schedules don’t really line up this time of year. My fiancé is a coach for a high school spring sport, so most of his free time is occupied by that. I know whatever we decide will be beautiful. I just need to let the process unfold. Despite the craziness, I just had to pop in and share this dress with you! It’s less than $50, but looks so much more expensive. It has a great fit and the maxi style is so cute for spring, especially for those iffy weather days. I wore it with a jean jacket for a baby shower over the weekend and felt perfectly put together. This dress is not online, but I was able to find it in store at H&M.
Details: Target shirt and vest / T.J. Maxx skirt / Old Navy shoes / J.Crew Factory necklace / Michael Kors watch and cuff
The cargo vest was one of those trends that I didn’t really understand until I tried it. Am I supposed to dress it up or dress it down? Can I wear it with something else that’s sleeveless? Removing sleeves from something apparently has quite the disorienting effect on me. Now that I have one, the question is what doesn’t it look good with? Blouses, t-shirts, dresses — it can do it all. It has that off-duty but still pulled-together look that I love.
I scored my cargo vest at Target for $30 in the beginning of spring. I haven’t seen it since, but I did find this similar cargo vest at Macy’s, which is now on sale.
So far, I have worn these pants only twice. I am not too worried because I got them free when I bought something else at H&M. I had great expectations for these pants when I first bought them because I thought I could put together really creative outfits, but so far I have only paired them with a white turtleneck and this black sweater and white blouse combination. I have not been daring enough to pair them with any other colors. But maybe that’s the point of wearing red pants. The other parts of the outfit can be simple to let the pants stand out. That’s the question of the day folks. How can you wear red pants without overdoing it? And if anyone can come up with a creative name for the color of these pants, I may have to award them a prize.
