The Sartorialist posted about this image from Glamour’s September issue over the weekend. A very interesting discussion formed in the comments section about women’s perceptions of themselves and how society looks at them based on the appearance of most models—famished. If you have a shred of interest in this topic you should head over to his blog to throw in your two cents.
I love this spread for fall in the September issue of Vogue. I love the color, the idea, and most of the styles. I love the deep reds. I think the story of Little Red Riding Hood can be dark and scary, and I think that works well for the season—colors get darker, everything gets a little eerier…a little colder. So I thought that Shakira’s new song, She-Wolf, would have been great music to play while doing this photo shoot. I know that this is a stretch, and I have just completely jumped topics, but in my crazy mind this works perfectly…just go with it. Plus Shakira is awesome.
